How can Campus Jobs help me?
Campus Jobs is a one-stop shop for all temporary work at the University, providing one-off opportunities and regular shift work for Reading students. The service is a joint initiative between Careers and the HR department.
What kind of work can I do?
We offer a variety of part-time jobs, with one-off opportunities and regular shift work all on campus. Roles are available at the University, in bars and cafés, offices, academic departments, and in the library.
Typically, you could find work in customer service, admin, telephone calling, or as a Student Ambassador. Occasionally, departments may need a student to help with a research project or lab work.
Whatever your preference, we’ve made it quick and easy to find a job on campus. Simply register interest in particular areas of work, called Talent Banks and we’ll contact you when vacancies arise.

How can I register for Campus Jobs?
Once you have fully enrolled, visit our office on the ground floor of the Carrington Building. You’ll need to bring a passport or birth certificate to demonstrate your right to work in the UK. If you’re an international student, you’ll also need to bring your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). We’ll issue you with a Campus Jobs contract that will allow you to work anywhere on campus. After that, you’ll be able to browse jobs, register for Talent Banks and apply for vacancies.
